Exciting things happening at Appendance!

Months before CoVID-19 changed the way we work, Appendance had been working to develop an online course. We love providing professional development training at our client organizations, and we sometimes provided one-on-one coaching to individual employees who needed more support in developing their communication skills. To make that support for individual employees even more effective, we wanted to combine course content with writing assignments, expert feedback, and weekly coaching sessions.

We’ve finally made that happen! On June 8, we launched our online course, Better Business Writing. The 6-week course focuses on one part of the writing process each week, with a corresponding assignment and meeting with a coach. We’re excited to offer this new service to help professionals develop key habits and strategies for excellent business writing. Check out our sample free preview lessons and the course outline!

In February, Appendance also received an award to work with MAPR and BizWest. We’ve been working closely with them to get the word out about our course; the press release is here. And if you’ve stopped by the BizWest site lately, upon arrival, you’ll be greeted with a pop-up ad talking about our course! Our first article, The 5 things you should be doing to build trust with your business audience through your written communication, was posted on BizWest on May 22, and we’ll have a few more from our CEO, Jenny Morse, popping up soon with some of the tips and tricks that form the basis for our Better Business Writing course.

NEW: Another article just posted on BizWest June 23, How successful professionals cultivate an efficient, productive writing process
